Baker’s haven

For a sweet couple ready to embrace the next chapter of their life of empty nesting, their kitchen needed a refresh—one that honored their love for baking and deep appreciation for quality, natural materials. After living with a partially gutted space and outdated finishes from the ‘90s, it was time to reimagine the heart of their home. From the first conversation, it was clear: these clients wanted to create a kitchen that would last—a space rooted in timeless craftsmanship and organic beauty. They selected a stunning marble for the countertops and backsplash, paired with zellige tile, unlacquered brass plumbing, hardware, and lighting. We balanced soft, natural tones with heritage oak cabinetry and new hardwood floors, keeping the original footprint but elevating every detail to breathe new life into the space. It’s one of my favorite projects to date, bringing warmth and function back to a kitchen that’s finally ready to serve the way it was always meant to.
